Modern guns are very dependable and with care should provide you with many years of reliable service. However, like any mechanical device, they do require occasional servicing and the odd repair due to mishap or general wear and tear.

We specialise in the repair and maintenance of all types of shot guns and sporting rifles, regardless of age. When you entrust your gun to us you can be assured that any work will be carried out to the highest standards by our professional time served gun maker using only quality parts and materials.

No job is too large or too small. We will happily discuss what is needed to bring your gun back into service and provide you with an estimate of the cost before any work is started.

Spare parts for new and old guns

We carry a large stock of parts for new and old guns. Even if a part is obsolete or cannot be sourced we have the necessary facilities and in house expertise to manufacture many parts to their original specification.  Drop in to the shop or give us a call on 01270 762404 to discuss your specific needs.

 

Gun Storage We store customers' guns and rifles at very competitive rates. Your guns will be securely stored on the premises in readiness for collection. We would recommend that you give us a call in advance so that we can have your gun ready and waiting for collection.

Gun Servicing A serviced gun is far less likely to let you down at that critical moment and for a modest charge we will inspect, clean and service your gun to keep it in tip top order. If your gun hasn’t been serviced recently or if you have purchased a new or pre-owned gun from us in the last twelve months don’t forget to bring it in for its annual service.

Set up by Harry Hopkins in the early 60’s, the business is now in the capable hands of his two sons, Peter and John. With over 40 years experience they are well placed to help you get the very best out of your sport and enjoy it to the full.

John Hopkins, our Gunmaker served his apprenticeship in the gun making quarter of Birmingham. He has worked for most of the major names in the industry and has a breadth of experience which includes making new guns, barrel making and stocking. His credentials speak for themselves and his knowledge and craftsmanship have been put to good use since returning to the family business in 1976.

Peter Hopkins has been heavily involved in game and clay shooting all his life. His engineering background combined with an in depth understanding and knowledge of the sport have helped many sportsmen and women improve their shooting.
